Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to WWJD.com (the "App"), operated by WWJD Global Outreach, Inc. ("WWJD," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the App at app.wwjd.com, or through any associated mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and WWJD Global Outreach, Inc. We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account on the App. If you are between 13 and 18 years old, you represent that you have your parent's or legal guardian's permission to use the App. Children under 13 may only access the App through a parent or guardian's account via the Family Hub feature, in accordance with our Privacy Policyand the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

3. Account Registration and Responsibilities

To use most features of the App, you must create an account by providing your name and a valid email address. You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Providing accurate and current account information

You may not create multiple accounts, share your account with others (except child profiles within the Family Hub), or transfer your account to another person. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use and Community Guidelines

The App is a faith-based platform intended for spiritual growth, prayer, Bible study, and encouraging community interaction. When using the App, you agree to:

Treat other users with respect and kindness
Not post content that is hateful, harassing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
Not post spam, commercial advertisements, or solicitations
Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
Not use the App for any illegal purpose
Not upload malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Not scrape, data-mine, or extract data from the App through automated means
Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the service

Community posts and content shared in public areas of the App are visible to other community members. Community moderators and administrators may remove content that violates these guidelines. Repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension or termination.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The App uses artificial intelligence to generate certain content, including but not limited to devotional materials, "What Would Jesus Do" responses to current events, book companion chat responses, and other inspirational or educational content.

You acknowledge and agree that:

AI-generated content is provided for informational, educational, and inspirational purposes only .
AI-generated content does not constitute professional counseling, therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or financial advice.
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or theological interpretations that differ from your own beliefs or denomination's teachings.
You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for important life decisions. We encourage you to consult with qualified pastors, counselors, or professionals as appropriate.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services.

6. User Content

6.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of content you create through the App, including prayer journal entries, notes, Bible highlights, community posts, and other user-generated content ("User Content"). By posting User Content in public areas of the App (such as community walls), you grant WWJD a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and reproduce that content within the App for the purpose of operating the service.

Private content (such as prayer journal entries, emotion tracking data, and personal notes) is not shared publicly and is not subject to the above license, except as necessary to provide you with the App's services (e.g., storing and syncing your data).

6.2 App Content

All content provided by WWJD through the App -- including devotionals, growth track materials, kids stories, Bible study resources, designs, graphics, audio content, and AI-generated materials -- is owned by or licensed to WWJD Global Outreach, Inc. and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or publicly display any App content without our prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use as intended through the App's features (such as sharing a devotional excerpt).

7. Subscriptions, Donations, and Payments

7.1 Subscription Plans

The App offers free and paid subscription tiers (individual and family plans, billed monthly or yearly). Paid subscriptions provide access to premium features as described on the Pricing page. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe.

7.2 Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the App's Settings page. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period. Subscription fees are generally non-refundable , except where required by applicable law or the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

7.3 Donations

Donations made through the App are voluntary contributions to support WWJD's mission. Donations are generally non-refundable . WWJD Global Outreach, Inc. is in the process of applying for tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Until such status is granted and confirmed, donations may not be tax-deductible. We will update this section and notify users when tax-exempt status is obtained.

7.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will be communicated to existing subscribers at least 30 days in advance and will take effect at the start of the next billing cycle after the notice period.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services including Supabase (authentication and database), Stripe (payment processing), ElevenLabs (text-to-speech audio), and AI service providers (content generation). Your use of these third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party service providers.

9. Intellectual Property

The WWJD name, WWJD.com domain, logos, trademarks, and all associated branding are the property of WWJD Global Outreach, Inc. The App's source code, design, layout, and overall look and feel are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the App or its content beyond the limited license to use the App as described herein.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
Any defects will be corrected
The App or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components
The results obtained from the use of the App (including AI-generated content) will be accurate, reliable, or suitable for any particular purpose
Content provided through the App (including devotionals, biblical interpretations, and spiritual guidance) is complete, current, or applicable to your specific circumstances

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, WWJD Global Outreach, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

Your access to, use of, or inability to access or use the App
Any conduct or content of any third party on the App
Any content obtained from the App, including AI-generated content
Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content or data
Any decisions or actions you take based on content provided through the App

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to your use of the App exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or fifty dollars ($50), whichever is greater.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless WWJD Global Outreach, Inc. and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the App, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the App's Settings page or by contacting us at support@wwjd.com.

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms. Upon termination:

Your right to use the App ceases immediately
We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
Any outstanding subscription fees remain due
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law) will survive

14. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the App, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@wwjd.com. If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, either party may pursue formal resolution as provided below.

Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in the state of the App operator's principal place of business, unless the parties agree otherwise. Each party shall bear its own costs, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.

16. Multilingual Content

The App provides content in English, Spanish, and Tagalog. In the event of any discrepancy between the English version of these Terms and any translated version, the English version shall prevail.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and WWJD Global Outreach, Inc. regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications, whether written or oral.
